Technology . Education . Art

The Title of this research is:

Development of AI-flavoured Technology-Education-Art (TEA) App and Exploration of its Impact and CTCA on Students’ Performance in Visual Art and Biological Drawings.

This research looks at the importance of drawing skill not just in art education but also in science education and biology in particular). The study also look at how cultural and conceptual pedagogy which is the core of CTCA method can help to improve students learning of elements and principles of art. And also importantly, how technology such as web and AI can be use to improve learning interest of students in fine art and biological drawing.
TEA web (learning management system) and AI application is a major contribution of this research to learning.

Pictures/videos

With the successes that CTCA has recorded in ICT education, STEM education and public administration, the researcher aim to find out if the use of CTCA method and and TEA App will significantly improve the performance of students in drawing.

TEA is web application and artificial intelligence application that the researcher developed to help improve the performance of students’ in visual art and biological drawings.

This is the TEA website, explore!

TEA have three sections which are:

Awareness and motivation

TEA Awareness and Motivation Portal (TAMP) web portal provide a platform for students to learn about Nigerian fine artists who had or currently making great impact using their drawings, short biography and quotes to create awareness and motivate the students about drawings and fine art in general.

Lessons and Evaluations

This section present students with lessons on visual art drawing and principles of art using CTCA teaching method, questionnaire on student’s attitudes to drawing, achievement test in drawing (theory and practical) and TEA Artificial intelligence Evaluation Portal (TAIEP) an Artificial intelligence (AI) which uses a Computer Vision (CV) algorithms to evaluation students' drawing assignments in the lessons.

Drawing videos

TEA Drawing Videos Portal (TDVP) section includes videos of drawing demonstrations that the researcher made so that the leaner can see hands-on on how the objects they are expected to draw, where actually drew. This video section is grouped into (1) Still-Life Drawings (2) Life Drawings.
